RESPONSIVENESS
Know who replied, and who left a customer waiting.
Response time is the one sales number nobody in a WhatsApp team can produce, and the one every customer feels.

14 customers waiting on a reply right now
For sales leaders whose reps reply from the WhatsApp Business app on company phones, WAOversight shows how long each customer waited before anyone answered, who is waiting right now, and your longest unanswered conversation by name. It runs on company-owned numbers, captures every message as it arrives, and needs nothing installed on a rep's phone.

01 — WHAT THE MEASUREMENT IS
Six reps, one line, and the two who cross it.
Every bar is how long a customer waited before that rep answered. The line is the target you set, not one we picked.

The clock starts at the customer's message and stops at the first reply from anyone on your side. A rep who opens the app and closes it again has not replied.
Set the target at the point where you would be comfortable explaining it to the customer. Everything past the line is a conversation you would rather have heard about on the day.
You can measure against business hours instead of the clock, so a message that arrives at midnight is not counted as a twelve-hour failure.
02 — PER REP
Speed, with the workload beside it.
A ranking on speed alone produces exactly the wrong conversation. The threads each person carried are in the same table, on purpose.
Two reps are over the 15-minute target, and the one furthest over is carrying the most threads on the team.
Response time is measured from the customer's message to the first reply from anyone on your side, not from when a rep opened the app.
Every figure here is defined in the metrics guide, in the same words the product uses.
Team performance
Last 7 days| Rep | First reply p50 | Threads handled | Against target |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chris Delgado | 11m | 38 | 4m inside |
| Nina Alvarez | 4m | 44 | 11m inside |
| Marcus Webb | 22m | 51 | +7m over |
| Hannah Cole | 9m | 33 | 6m inside |
| Sofia Haddad | 6m | 29 | 9m inside |
| Derek Owens | 38m | 26 | +23m over |
Threads handled is shown next to speed on purpose: the slowest rep here is also carrying the most.
03 — BEFORE AND AFTER
What changes
TODAY
You find out a customer was ignored when they call the office, or when the order goes somewhere else. By then the conversation is a week old and nobody remembers who had it.
WITH WAOVERSIGHT
You open one list, sorted by how long each person has been waiting, with the rep's name against each. The oldest one is 27 hours old and you can read the thread before you speak to anyone.
04 — LIMITS
What this does not do
It does not send messages. There is no outbound path in this product at all, so it cannot reply for a rep or chase a customer on their behalf.
It does not measure quality. A fast reply that answers nothing still counts as a fast reply.
It does not see conversations from before the number was linked. Capture starts at linking.
It does not watch anyone's personal WhatsApp. Only the company-owned numbers you link.
06 — QUESTIONS
What people ask about this
How do I know if my sales team is replying to WhatsApp messages?
Link the company-owned numbers your team uses to WAOversight. The dashboard shows median first response, who is waiting right now, and the longest unanswered conversation by name. Without a tool, the only checks are asking reps or scrolling a shared phone, and neither shows how long customers waited.
Is this WhatsApp response time tracking per rep?
Yes. Median first reply and the longest wait are shown per rep, against the business hours you set, on the WhatsApp Business app your reps already use on company phones. Nothing is installed and no API is needed. The WhatsApp tracking guide lists everything else a management view can and cannot see.
Does the AI change these numbers?
No. Every figure on this page comes from timestamps and nothing else. AI assessments, from the Team plan, read the open customer threads to decide which one a manager should open first, and show what they found in the queue. The response-time numbers do not change because of them.
How much work is setup?
One QR scan per number, about a minute each. Nothing for reps to install, no number changes, no migration. A ten-person team is live inside an hour.
Do we see old conversations?
Capture starts when the number is linked, so history before that is limited. We say this upfront because it's the honest answer. We offer a one-time chat export import at onboarding to fill the gap.
What if a session drops?
You get alerted, and the rep re-scans a QR code. Everything already captured is unaffected: the archive is independent of the live session. Current session states are visible in your dashboard at all times.
My team will think I don't trust them.
Then tell them, which you have to do anyway. Nothing here is hidden from your team: they are told which numbers are archived and why, before you link one. Your own reading is on the record too, because every manager view is written to an access log that your workspace owner and your auditors can read, and that nobody can edit or switch off. Send them our employee page before you roll it out.
Find out what happened last week.
Fifteen minutes, your own numbers, no slides. If you don't see something that surprises you, we'll say so.
