PERFORMANCE

Who is carrying the team?

Every per-rep comparison is unfair until you can see how much each of them was carrying.

The busiest rep on the team is not the fastest one.

Every manager view is written to the access log

For sales leaders whose reps sell from the WhatsApp Business app on company phones, WAOversight compares first-reply time, threads handled and activity trend for each rep on your linked numbers. Workload sits beside speed on purpose: a rep who looks slow while carrying a third more conversations than anyone else has a distribution problem, not a performance problem.

  • Fastest vs slowest rep

    4m / 38m

    First-response spread across the team

  • Workload imbalance

    ±31%

How unevenly the work is spread

  • Activity trend

01 — WHY SPEED ALONE IS UNFAIR

Both measures, drawn from the same line.

First reply grows to the left, threads carried to the right. Among the reps still on a linked number, the slowest is also the one carrying the most, and a ranking on speed alone would have hidden that.

Marcus carries the most threads on the team and answers slowest of anyone still linked

Derek Owens is not in this comparison. His number is logged out and his week is in the handover report.

  • Speed without load is how a fair comparison becomes an unfair one, and how the wrong person gets performance-managed.

  • A ten-fold spread between the fastest and the slowest rep is usually a process gap rather than a talent gap. Find out what the fastest one does differently before you change anything else.

  • A sustained fall in someone's activity often arrives before a resignation does. It is worth reading as a question rather than as a verdict.

02 — IN THE DASHBOARD

The team, as one reading.

The same six people, against the four numbers a manager opens this for on a Monday morning.

Activity trend is a 30-day view, and it is the one number on this screen that is about a person rather than about a customer.

Every figure is defined in the metrics guide, with what to do when it moves the wrong way.

  • The slowest rep here is not the least busy
  • One number needs re-linking

03 — BEFORE AND AFTER

What changes

TODAY

You form an impression from who speaks up in the meeting and who happens to sit near you. The quiet rep who answers fastest gets no credit, and the loud one is assumed to be busy.

WITH WAOVERSIGHT

You compare six people on the same two measures: how fast they answer, and how much they are carrying. You find out what your fastest rep does differently before you performance-manage anyone.

04 — LIMITS

What this does not do

  • It does not score people. It gives you speed and workload side by side, and expects you to hold the conversation yourself.

  • It does not measure the quality of a reply, only its timing, and it says so wherever it reports one.

  • It does not read anyone's personal WhatsApp, and there is no way to make it.

  • It does not hide what it did. Every time you open a rep's conversations the read is written to a tamper-evident access log, which your workspace owner and your auditors can read and which nobody can edit.

06 — QUESTIONS

What people ask about this

My team will think I don't trust them.

Then tell them, which you have to do anyway. Nothing here is hidden from your team: they are told which numbers are archived and why, before you link one. Your own reading is on the record too, because every manager view is written to an access log that your workspace owner and your auditors can read, and that nobody can edit or switch off. Send them our employee page before you roll it out.

Is this a spy app?

No. Company-issued numbers only. Nothing installed on anyone's phone. No stealth mode. Your team is told before a number is linked, and every manager view is written to a log nobody can edit. Spy apps hide from the person being monitored; this one is announced to them.

Is this even legal?

On company-owned numbers with written notice to staff, in most jurisdictions yes. We give you the policy and acknowledgement form to get it signed off. We are not lawyers; we give you the paperwork your HR needs.

We already have a CRM.

Keep it. A CRM records that a conversation happened, written up afterwards by the person it reflects on. We show what was actually said, including what was deleted. Most customers run both.

Find out what happened last week.

Fifteen minutes, your own numbers, no slides. If you don't see something that surprises you, we'll say so.
