ENGAGEMENT

How many customers did your team actually talk to today?

Everyone says they are busy. Volume is easy to produce and easy to mistake for selling.

UNIQUE CUSTOMERS · 7 DAYS

41Down 12% on last week. People, not messages.

41 customers reached in 7 days

For sales leaders whose reps sell from the WhatsApp Business app on company phones, WAOversight counts the distinct customers the team spoke to in a period, splits new conversations by who messaged first, and counts the quotes that went out. Message volume is a denominator, never the score, because forty messages to one customer is not forty customers.

01 — THE NUMBER THAT MOVES

One square per customer, and six that stay empty.

41 people heard from your team last week. 6 accounts heard nothing at all, and those 6 are the finding.

Customers reached, last 7 days

1 square = 1 customer
  • 41customers your team spoke to
  • 6accounts nobody contacted at all
  • 18New conversations, split by who messaged first
  • 63Quotes and price lists sent
  • down 12%Unique customers, against last week
  • Message volume answers a different question. 40 messages to one customer is still one customer, and a team rewarded for volume will produce volume.

  • Zero-touch accounts are usually a distribution problem. Check how leads are handed out before you check who is busy.

  • New conversations are split by who messaged first, so a prospecting week and a busy inbox do not look the same.

02 — THE OTHER HALF

The accounts nobody opened, by name.

A count tells you six. The board tells you which six, who they were assigned to, and what they last said to you.

6 accounts nobody contacted at all, and 3 people who messaged this company and got nothing back. Both lists are short enough to read yourself.

Quotes and price lists are counted separately. It is the closest proxy for real selling that a chat log contains.

Nothing here attributes revenue. If you want the deal outcome, that still lives in your CRM.

03 — BEFORE AND AFTER

What changes

TODAY

You ask how the week went and get an impression. The reps who talk best about their week are not always the ones who spoke to the most customers, and there is no way to tell which is which.

WITH WAOVERSIGHT

You get 41 named customers, 18 new conversations split by who opened them, and 63 quotes sent. The week is a set of numbers you can compare with the last one.

04 — LIMITS

What this does not do

  • It does not tell you whether a conversation was any good. It tells you it happened, with whom, and when.

  • It does not count calls, email, or anything said in person. It is a record of WhatsApp on the numbers you linked.

  • It does not attribute revenue. If you want the deal outcome, that still lives in your CRM.

  • It does not rank reps on volume. Volume without the customer count is how you reward the wrong behaviour.

06 — QUESTIONS

What people ask about this

How many customers did my team contact this week?

WAOversight counts the distinct customers your team engaged in any period, splits new conversations by who messaged first, and counts the quotes that went out. Message volume is shown only as a denominator, because forty messages to one customer is still one customer.

Is this WhatsApp activity tracking for a sales team?

It is the honest version of it. Activity here means distinct customers engaged, who messaged first and quotes sent, read from the company-owned numbers your reps use in the WhatsApp Business app. It does not read online status, hours in the app or anything on a personal phone. The WhatsApp tracking guide covers the full list.

We already have a CRM.

Keep it. A CRM records that a conversation happened, written up afterwards by the person it reflects on. We show what was actually said, including what was deleted. Most customers run both.

How much work is setup?

One QR scan per number, about a minute each. Nothing for reps to install, no number changes, no migration. A ten-person team is live inside an hour.

Do we see old conversations?

Capture starts when the number is linked, so history before that is limited. We say this upfront because it's the honest answer. We offer a one-time chat export import at onboarding to fill the gap.

It's cheaper elsewhere.

Some are. Check what happens in month seven. Several competitors delete your archive after six months. Ask them for their uptime figures too, and see whether they publish any.

Find out what happened last week.

Fifteen minutes, your own numbers, no slides. If you don't see something that surprises you, we'll say so.
