ABOUT

A record you can trust, of conversations that decide revenue.

We build one thing: an archive of the WhatsApp conversations a sales team has with its customers, and the small number of measurements that make it useful on a Monday morning.

WAOversight is a sales visibility layer for teams of roughly eight to sixty reps who sell from the WhatsApp Business app on company phones. It shows managers who replied, who is waiting, what was promised and what was deleted on company-owned numbers, keeps that record for 12 months, and logs every manager view where nobody can edit it.

Why this exists

An enormous amount of selling now happens in WhatsApp threads on company phones, and almost none of it is visible to the person accountable for the result. Managers find out that a customer was ignored when the customer complains. They find out what a rep promised when the invoice does not match. They find out how much one person was carrying on that person's last day.

Every one of those is a record-keeping problem wearing a management problem's clothes. The conversations exist; nobody kept them.

The decision that shaped everything else

We decided early that this product would observe and never operate. There is no way to send a WhatsApp message from WAOversight, and there never will be. That single constraint removed the most common reason numbers get banned, removed any question about whether a manager could impersonate a rep, and made the archive the only thing we have to get right.

The second decision was that nothing about the monitoring is hidden from the people being monitored. Reps are told which numbers are archived before a single one is linked, and every manager view is written to a log before the data is returned. Nobody can edit that log or turn it off, and your workspace owner and your auditors can read it. It is the reason rollouts stick, and it is also, straightforwardly, the right way to do this.

Being wrong in public

Nobody in this category publishes uptime, capture lag, or an honest account of what can break. We do, and it costs us: an incident goes on a page that publishes our uptime it, and a bad month is a bad month in public.

That is the point. A claim you cannot check is worth nothing from a company asking to hold your customers' conversations. We would rather be judged on numbers we cannot quietly revise.

WHAT WE WILL NOT DO

Five things, in writing

  1. We publish our uptime

Monthly, per number, with the method published in full. If it is bad, it is still published.

  2. We never send messages

There is no outbound path in this product and there is not going to be one.

  3. There is no stealth mode

Your team is told, and every manager view is written to a log nobody can edit. That cannot be turned off.

  4. Company-owned numbers only

We will not build a version that runs on somebody's personal number.

  5. We say when the answer is no

Including on the call, including when it costs us the sale.

If we ever break one of these, it will be on this page with the date, not removed quietly.

Ask us the awkward question.

Fifteen minutes, your own numbers. Bring the objection you think we cannot answer.
