CONDUCT

See the messages your team deleted.

Deleting a message removes it from two phones. It does not remove it from an archive that already had it.

DELETED · LAST 7 DAYS

23 deleted messages kept this week

For sales leaders whose reps use the WhatsApp Business app on company phones, WAOversight keeps the original text of any message deleted on a linked number, with the time it was sent and the time it was removed. Edited messages keep every earlier version, and view-once media is stored once captured. The sender cannot change or remove what was kept.

01 — WHAT SURVIVES

Watch it get deleted, and watch it stay.

The message is struck through on both phones. The copy captured at delivery is already in your archive, and so is every earlier version of the message that was edited afterwards.

That's a bit more than I expected. Any discount?

I can do a special 30% off, $62.30. Please don't mention it to my manager 😄

First version“Would $84 work?”

Every version kept, in order, unchangeable

  • The archive is append-only. A rep cannot reach into it, and neither can you: a deletion is recorded as a new event, never as a change to what was already written.

  • Edits are the quieter half. Correcting a price does not feel like removing evidence to the person doing it, which is exactly why every version is kept.

  • Most deletions are typos. The point is not that deleting is suspicious; it is that you should not have to take somebody's word for which kind it was.

02 — ACROSS THE ARCHIVE

Search finds what was deleted, too.

One search across every linked number, with removed and edited messages carried in the results rather than quietly dropped from them.

Each hit carries who said it, to whom, when, and whether it survived on the phones.

The search writes a row to the access log before it returns anything. There is no read of this archive that leaves no trace.

03 — BEFORE AND AFTER

What changes

TODAY

A rep offers a discount they were not authorised to give, then removes the message four minutes later. The customer already read it. You find out when the invoice does not add up, if you find out at all.

WITH WAOVERSIGHT

The message is in your archive with both timestamps against it, flagged the moment it was removed. The margin conversation happens on the day it was offered, not at the end of the month.

04 — LIMITS

What this does not do

  • It cannot recover a message deleted before the number was linked. Capture starts at linking, and we say so plainly.

  • It cannot undelete the message on the phones. The customer and the rep still see it as deleted; only your archive keeps it.

  • It does not judge intent. A deletion is recorded as a deletion; what it meant is a conversation for you to have.

  • It does not notify the customer of anything. The customer's experience is unchanged.

06 — QUESTIONS

What people ask about this

Can you see WhatsApp messages an employee deleted?

Yes, on a company-owned number linked to WAOversight. The archive keeps the original text, the time it was sent and the time it was deleted. Deleting removes the message from both phones, but the copy captured at delivery is already archived and cannot be altered.

Is this a spy app?

No. Company-issued numbers only. Nothing installed on anyone's phone. No stealth mode. Your team is told before a number is linked, and every manager view is written to a log nobody can edit. Spy apps hide from the person being monitored; this one is announced to them.

Is this even legal?

On company-owned numbers with written notice to staff, in most jurisdictions yes. We give you the policy and acknowledgement form to get it signed off. We are not lawyers; we give you the paperwork your HR needs.

Do we see old conversations?

Capture starts when the number is linked, so history before that is limited. We say this upfront because it's the honest answer. We offer a one-time chat export import at onboarding to fill the gap.

We already have a CRM.

Keep it. A CRM records that a conversation happened, written up afterwards by the person it reflects on. We show what was actually said, including what was deleted. Most customers run both.

Find out what happened last week.

Fifteen minutes, your own numbers, no slides. If you don't see something that surprises you, we'll say so.
